About Tanja:
Tanja Meyburgh, is a highly trained and experienced professional registered with the HPCSA as a counseling psychologist. Tanja is founder of African Constellations, has been facilitating constellations in South Africa since 2003, and has been involved in training facilitators since 2005. Her therapeutic background includes systemic family therapy, narrative therapy and wilderness therapy. She also holds qualifications and has worked as a Waldorf teacher and Bridging Polarities through Art facilitator. As well as private practice, Tanja has therapeutic and organisational consulting experience in multicultural NGO settings in South Africa, including organisations involved with HIV, trauma, political violence and addiction. Tanja is a member of the International Family Therapy Association and The International Systemic Constellations Association (ISCA) and has presented papers both locally and internationally in these subjects. Tanja is committed to practising with integrity, authenticity and in a way that empowers her clients. Her personal interests include African cosmology, time spent in nature, gardening, dancing and family time with her husband and young son.
Tanja’s practice includes:
- individual therapy and coaching
- couples therapy
- group workshops
- consulting and facilitation for organisations
- family constellations facilitator training
Tanja is particularly interested in the links between family constellations and Southern African traditional and ancient healing practices, nature and ceremony.
As she is a registered psychologist, you are able to claim from your medical aid for individual and group therapy, and to get CPD points if you are a health professional attending her workshops.
